Altas Strength AL-3058G All-in-One Smith Trainer Machine

I spent several hours researching a home gym machine. I decided on the AL-3058G Smith Machine. I based my decision on the machine’s footprint, cost and versatility. I read several reviews which stated the machine was solid and made of high quality materials. After receiving my machine, I can confirm those reviews were spot on. Well done Altas!

DELIVERY - The delivery came in two crates separating the machine from the weights. The crates were well secured and sturdy. Upon opening the machine crate, each machine part was wrapped in bubble wrap and /or plastic. Clear, blue or green tape secured the wrapping to the machine parts. (Note -the color of the tape is important for assembly.) The pieces wrapped in blue tape go on the left side and green go on the right side of the machine. In addition, each weight was also protected by a plastic sleeve. Finally, there are three packages of screws, washers and nuts. The items are secured tightly and well described in their packages.

ASSEMBLY - The assembly was trying at times but not off the charts. I did assembly approximately 75% of the machine myself. I needed an extra sent of hands for the remaining 25%, like assembling the weight stack.

Here are a few tips for assembly: (note- I have a very tall ceiling which helped with assembling.)
- review the instructions from start to finish several times before starting. Why? Here is an example - page 25 of the instruction manual shows the hardware used in assembling the Guide Rod Hollow and Cable; however, page 26 actually shows the flow of said cable;
- use the pictures of the machine which are posted on the Altas or MAGMA website for reference when questioning the look/position of a part to be assembled;
- go slow, review each set and part;
- only hand tighten all screws and nuts until every piece is in place. The reasoning, you will need the machine to give a little so that other parts can fit;
- open only the screws, washers and nuts need for each step, this will ensure you don't lose any pieces. There are no extra parts!

MACHINE - Like I stated before, the machine is solid. The versatility is perfect for a complete at home full body workout. The attachments which came with the machine are numerous. It has everything I need to accomplish my strength training goals! I am looking forward to my transformation with the assistance of the Altas Strength Al-3058G.

MAGMA - My experience using MAGMA was positive. They quickly responded to my question via a Chat box. In addition, I was sent a text of the Chat for my review and notes regarding my questions. I had reservations about purchasing a large piece of heavy equipment over the internet. However, my communication and feed back with MAGMA gave me the confidence to purchase. I am grateful I did!

This machine is extremely well built with a smart, space-efficient design. More importantly, Chris at Magma provided fantastic customer service and great communication throughout the process. I am in the US and was skeptical and concerned about ordering from Magma, but it was one of the best support experiences ever - he answered a bunch of questions by email and phone before I purchased, and assisted until the machine was delivered - which is what you really want when purchasing something expensive like this sight-unseen. Machine came packaged well and in perfect shape (plan for 5-7 hours assembly). Thanks Chris!

I purchased the Atlas strength AL-3058 All in-One smith machine, delivery arrived and was very pleased how well it’s packaged. It arrived in two creates small size 25inch X 23inch and a large 891/2inch X 331/2 inch wooden box, it’s plywood 1inch thick. Very well protected. Delivery guys were very helpful putting it inside my gate and polite great customer service. Was was anticipating delivery not knowing what to expect, but all turned out good.
